Aditya's Story

Aditya was born premature. He has a twin sister with normal vision, Aditya is congenitally blind and developed spastic tendencies at a very tender age and was unable to sit, stand or walk without assistance. He was diagnosed as a case of cerebral palsy.

All this care and attention has enable him to take a few steps on his own and hopefully he will be able to walk without assistance in due course.

We would like to share with you stories of some of our children which highlight the courage and determination with which they are trying to overcome their limitations.

Aditya joined the HHSB in 2006 and is now in the Std. I. With the help of the school, he is being treated at the Children’s Orthopaedic Hospital at Mahalaxmi where he has received medical treatment followed by surgery and intensive physiotherapy, which is still being continued.

Despite these enormous drawbacks, he is a friendly and happy child, always smiling and courageous and determined to improve.
